Fresh Aire Flute Choir & Steel Pan Ensemble concert tonight!
The Niles North High School Band Department presents a concert in the auditorium @ 7:30pm, Tuesday, April 15 featuring the flute choir under the direction of Kim Fleuchaus and the steel band with Mike Moehlmann and Cheryl Filipek.
23rd annual Vocal Jazz Night Tonight!
Come to Niles North’s 23rd annual Vocal Jazz Night Friday, April 11 at 7:30 p.m. in the Auditorium at 9800 North Lawler, Skokie. Join Harmonic Motion, Sound Check and Take One, and a spectacular rhythm section, as they perform the following songs: “The Bare Necessities,” “”Route 66,” “Smack Dab in the Middle,” “You Are Too Beautiful,” “I’ve Never Been in Love Before,” and many other popular tunes. Tickets are $10 and may be purchased by calling the Box Office at (847) 626-2122 or at the door.
There will be a free community performance held at 10 a.m. Don’t miss this exciting musical extravaganza of talented singers and musicians performing their take on timeless tunes.
Harmonic Motion is directed by Kathryn Lachey, Sound Check is directed by Logan Farris and Take One is directed by Daniel Gregerman. Barry Grossman directs the rhythm section. Annaliisa Ahlman is the technical director and Michael Rourke is the lighting designer.
Come to Empty Walls Art Auction on Saturday, April 5
EMPTY WALLS is an all day event where artists from the community, staff, teachers and talented art students team up and create art the entire day at Niles North High School. At the end of the day, they graciously donate their artwork to be a part of the silent auction which helps 2014 School Chest charity, Child Restoration Outreach Support Organization (CROSO) and Niles North Art Department scholarships. Please join us for this wonderful event!
All types of artwork will be represented at the auction including: painting, photography, drawing, printmaking, watercolor, jewelry, fiber arts/clothing, and ceramics. There will also be donations from professional artists and educators in the community up for auction.
CROSO is an organization that provides a brighter future for Ugandan street children through higher education. The organization was founded by Niles West alum Molly Heineman.

Orchestra Concert, Thursday, March 20
The Niles North Philharmonic and Symphonic Orchestras will be performing tonight in the auditorium at 7:30 p.m.
They will be joined by students of our feeder schools, McCracken and Golf schools, who have been working with NN Orchestra director, Jennifer Page in a collaborative program.
Please attend this free event for an evening of beautiful music. There will be a bake sale following the performance with proceeds benefitting the orchestra.
NN BAND AND CHOIR CONCERT Wednesday, 3/19 at 7:30 p.m.
The program tonight features the NN Concert Band, Symphonic Band and Wind Ensemble along with the Choraliers, Concert Choir, Chamber Choir and Chorale. This will be a highly entertaining concert as you hear our many talented students, including district and state recognized musicians.

Get ready for an evening of laughs when Harvard Law student Elle Woods brings her sense of style to the Niles North High School stage in “Legally Blonde: The Musical” on March 13 to 15 in the Auditorium at 9800 Lawler, Skokie. Show times are 7 p.m. on Friday, March 14 and Saturday, March 15; and 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 15. A free community performance will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, March 13. Tickets $10. Approximately 25 delightful stories submitted from students at Jane Stenson School, East Prairie School, Hynes Elementary School, Elizabeth Meyer School, and Middleton School will go into “That’s My Story!”.
Niles North Theatre will get the show on the road with a touring production of “That’s My Story!” that will stop at the authors’ schools.

The group just returned from the state IMEA concert after being invited to perform at this honored yearly event. They are a crowd pleaser!
