WHAT’S IT LIKE TO BE 13?
Niles North Theatre Department presents this year’s musical “13” on March 10 through 12 in the Auditorium at 9800 Lawler, Skokie. “13” is a Broadway musical, with music and lyrics by Jason Robert Brown, based on the book by Dan Elish and Robert Horn.
Imagine, at 13, being taken from the pulsing power of New York to small-town Indiana. A geek, the cute girl, the faker, the jock, the loser: everyone is trying to fit in and be noticed. The New York Times says “it has on tap that natural radioactive energy that makes young teenagers so appealing.”
Performances are 7 p.m. on Friday, March 11 and 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Saturday, March 12. A free community performance will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, March 10. Call the Box Office at 847-626-2122 or visit www.nntheatre.com. Tickets are $10.
