Chorale European Trip Canceled

Dan Gregerman, Niles North choral director, announced that the proposed Chorale trip to Europe has been canceled. In a letter to Chorale parents, Mr. Gregerman said after surveying parents, the cost of the trip would be prohibitive to getting a large enough group of students to go. He added that after several meetings with a group of Chorale parents, fundraising plans could not reduce the trip price to a level that would make it affordable for the majority of Chorale members.

The FAPP board would like to applaud Mr. Gregerman’s hard work in trying to organize this trip in a difficult economy. The board is committed to continue working toward becoming a first-rate fund-raising organization to help ensure that, in the future, such trips can find the funding to make them more affordable for students and their families.
